If it does not turn green after 18 hours, unplug the charger from the battery, plug the battery into you fountain and see if it powers your fountain. If the fountain runs properly, then not to worry it's just the indicator light on the charger malfunctioning which will not effect running your fountain. If your fountain does not run, please reach out to our Customer Care. - Bernini Siena Fountain

How do I connect the three cables to the battery? - Applies to 3.0, 5.0, 5.2, Enchanted Maiden
Hold the battery in your hand upside-down so that the colored circles are facing you with the blue circle on the left. Firmly insert the USB cord first; make sure the “USB” symbol on the plug in facing you. You may feel a slight click once the plug is completely inserted. Then follow this step again first with the red tipped cord, then the green tipped cord. Test your fountain by pressing the “A” button. *The yellow port is for the optional four (4) button remote.

What is the USB cord? - Applies to 3.0, 5.0, 5.2, Enchanted Maiden

How do I insert the DC battery charger cord into your Bernini fountain’s battery? - Applies to 3.0, 5.0, 5.2, Enchanted Maiden
This is a specific tight tolerance designed for weather resistancy however some fits can be tighter than others. If you're experiencing difficulty in inserting your charger cord into your battery then just apply a small amount of petroleum jelly, lip balm or other lubricant around the leading edge of the black rubber charge cord closest to the metal pin on the male DC adaptor cord and then gently wiggle it as you insert it into the female receptacle of the battery. The lubricant will help the tight fit of the black rubber DC charger cord slide into place more easily.

Alternatively you may take a pair of pliers and grip the rubber casing of the male DC adaptor cord and gently twist it as you insert the DC plug into the female receptacle of the battery. After you have done this a few times it will then become easier to insert.

Then just plug in your charger into a mains socket and the red light will come on on the battery next to the DC plug indicating it is charging. Consult your manual for additional charging instructions.

The Green, Blue, Black and Grey connections are difficult to plug in. - Applies to Bernini Siena Fountain
These leads are made to be water proof; this gives them a tight fit. We recommend as you apply pressure use a twisting motion to help with completing the connection. If this does not help you should use soap or another mild lubricant to further assist connecting the leads.

Pump FAQs Answers:

How do I clean the filter? - Applies to all fountains
Drain your fountain of all water prior to cleaning. Begin by disconnecting the pump from the fountain tier. Remove the front of the water pump by grabbing the sides of the front panel and pull it off the unit. Pull the water pump filter from the front panel. Wash the filters under running water until debris has been removed. Then replace the filters and pump’s front cover. - All Fountains

How do I prime the pump? - Applies to all fountains
There are two methods to priming your pump a short version and a long version. Start with the short version first to see if this works.

Short Version: With the lower bowl filled with water approx 1-2 inches from the edge of the bowl and the fountain in the off postion, gently agitate the fountain by holding both sides of the large bowl and jiggle or shake the fountian for approx 5 seconds. Then turn your fountain on. If the water does not flow propely, turn the fountain off and then repeat the above step. Do this approximately 3 - 4 times until the pump starts to flow properly. If this doesnt work proceed to the long version method below.

Long Version: Before beginning, remove any decorative tops from the fountain tier. Remove the fountain tier by turning the bowl a quarter turn counter clockwise and then lift. You can now rest the fountain tier on its side. Now detach the water pump from the feeder tube inside the fountain tier. When removing the water pump, use caution when pulling the pump from the feeder tube. Pinch the bottom of the feeder tube close to the pump with one hand and then pull the water pump from the feeder tube with your other hand so you do not remove the hose from the fountain tier.

Submerge the water pump into the water inside the large bowl and lightly shake the pump underwater to release air bubbles inside the vents on the water pump. Turn the fountain on and you should see water flowing from the pump. Let the pump run for about ten seconds and then turn your fountain off. Reconnect the water pump to the feeder tube inside the fountain tier and reattach the fountain tier to the large bowl. - All Fountains

How often do I need to clean the filter and/or prime the pump? - Applies to all fountains
Depending on use, you should clean the filter and/or prime the pump approximately every 2-4 weeks.

Why is the pump making humming or loud sounds? - Applies to all fountains
Your pump needs to be primed, see 'How do I prime the pump?'

When I turn my fountain on I can hear the pump running, but water is not flowing from my fountain or very little water is flowing, why?
This issue is usually caused by an air bubble inside of the water pump, making the pump unable to push water up through the feeder tube inside the fountain bowl. To easily remedy this issue, turn your fountain off and gently shake while holding both sides of the large bowl; agitate the fountain in a slow circular motion. This should force water to move through the vents on the side of the water pump and get rid of any air bubbles that could be preventing the water from flowing freely. While doing this you should hear the water pump inside the fountain bowl move. After doing this for a few seconds, turn your fountain back on. If this does not work, you may need to reconnect the water pump and try the priming instructions. - Applies to all fountains

Even after priming the pump my fountain is not pumping water to the upper bowl or the water stream is very low (not enough to spray out of the dancing water features).
If you have tried both methods to prime your pump and the water is not flowing properly, remove the water from your fountain and disconnect the middle tier located in the main bowl. Lay the middle tier on its side in the large bowl and look at the length of the wires connect the pump to the plastic tube which extends up from the main bowl. The cords need to have enough slack to allow the pump to lay flat inside the large bowl after the middle tier is locked in place. If the cords are too short, once you place the middle tier back on the cords will lift the pump out of the water level and not allow the pump to draw water. This is easily solved by holding the rubber plug located in the plastic tube which the power wires are running through and then pull the pump cable up from the plastic tube a couple of inches. This will allow enough extra slack in the cable to allow the pump to sit in the bowl properly. Then re-assemble the middle tier add water and turn the fountain on. You may need to re-prime the pump again since the pump will have run dry during this process. - Applies to all fountains

After priming the pump and extending the pump cable/wire the the water stream is very low (not enough to spray out of the dancing water features).
Check to make sure the pump water tube is not too long. Disconect the middle tier from the main bowl and lay the tier on its side in the main bowl. Check to see if the pump is extending out of the bottom of the middle tier by more than 4 inches. If so, remove the pump from the water tube by holding the water tube firmly and pulling the pump from the tube. Be careful not to pull the tube out of the middle tier. Once the pump is removed, with scissors cut approx 1-2 inches off the bottom of the tube and re-attach the pump. The pump should now be extending only a couple inches from the bottom of the middle tier. If it is not extending from the bottom of the middle tier this is ok. Its only if the pump is extending too far from the bottom of the middle tier can cause the pump water tube to bend inside of the middle tier of the fountain and cause a kink in the hose restricting water flow. After the the pump is re-installed connect the middle tier to the main bowl and turn the fountain on and repeat short pump priming process. If the fountain is still not operating contact Bernini Customer Care. - Applies to all fountains

LED FAQs Answers:

Is the green indicator light supposed to stay on?
The green light is not intended to stay on while your fountain is running. It's merely meant to be an indicator light. However if it does stay on and your fountai is running properly then it will not negatively effect the operation of your fountain.

How do I change the color of my lights? How do I keep my lights on one color?
"Button 'D' turns the LED light feature on and off manually. Press button once for the LED lights to cycle through colors. If you’d like your fountain to stay at just one color, press the button once more to save your color selection at the desired color. The selected LED light color will be saved until button is pressed again, which will begin the cycling of colors once more.

LED Light features will automatically turn on and selected color will remain and will turn off whenever your fountain automatically or manually turns on or shuts off (including any timer setting).

The Led Light ring pulled out of the middle tier.
This is normal. The LED light ring is intended to be replaceable. If the light ring has come out of the middle tier simply use two fingers, one on each side of the light ring, and press it back into place.

The LED light ring is popping up out of the middle tier and when I try to push it into place it will not press evenly down into the plactic receiver in the middle tier.
Your fountain may have inherited debrit below the LED light ring. With the middle tier removed, push the water tube from the inside of the middle tier up and out causing the light ring to pop out of its plastic receiver. Then look inside the hole (plastic receiver) where the LED light ring was located. You might find small debrit which is causing the light ring to not locate properly. Use a small tool, like a screw driver, to break loose any debrit you might find, then re-insert the light ring from the top down and it will press into place.

How do I clean my fountain?
"In order to keep your fountain in tip-top shape and free of algae, you may clean your fountain every two months. To clean your fountain, drain of all water and disassemble. Use a mild soap and a soft cloth to clean the parts of your fountain. Preferable to not scrub or wash with towel if possible and only use gentle stream of water to rinse the fountain bowl. This will help maintain the finish of your fountain. Your fountain bowl will form a natural patina finish which, with time, may appear lighter or whiter than the original color. This is normal.

Warning do not scrub or rub hard with a cloth, as this could cause damage to the finish. Do not use High Pressure water stream to clean out fountain bowl as this could cause damage to the finish of your fountain." - Applies to all fountains

How do I store my fountain in the winter?
Drain the water from fountain prior to the first freeze of the season. Clean and dry the fountain of all water. Remove the rechargeable battery and the water pump and bring it indoors. The foutnain is not running the full time on the timer I have set or fountain is operating sproradically.
Re-charge your fountain battery. When the battery gets low the fountain will still operate but will not run the full time on the timer and or may operate sproadically. If problem still exists after recharging the battery contact Bernini Customer Care. - Bernini Siena Fountain

If the fountain runs dry, will it effect the motor?
No, the fountain has a centrifugal pump which is not impacted if the fountain runs without water. If the water level drops, the height of the stream will drop until you hear a buzzing noise when the fountain runs dry. When the fountain runs dry, there can often be air bubbles in the pump. Once you add water, you need to cycle the pump on and off to get rid of air bubbles or jiggle your fountain slightly and turn it back on, note priming pump instructions.

Water is dripping into the column where the battery is located.
This can be caused by the rubber water seal plug not being sealed properly. Remove the middle tier from the main bowl and lay it on its side in the main bowl. Then look to see if the rubber plug which the wire/cables go through the plug into the white plastic tube is presssed in properly. This can cause leaking if not pushed all the way down. If you have trouble pushing this into place remove the rubber plug and smear some petoleum jellly or any lubricant on the outside of the rubber plug and re-insert. This will make it easier to push into place.

How do I weigh down my fountain for windy conditions?
Add several scoops of sand to the chamber in the bottom of the base. Even with sand added to the base, the battery can safely sit atop the platform in the middle of the base’s chamber.

How do I change my control panel (A,B,C,D switch)?
Remove the large bowl, cords, and battery from the base of the fountain. Reach inside the base and gently but firmly push out the switch from the inside. Take your new switch and feed the cord through the hold and gently push the switch into place. (SPECIFIC TO SIENNA, 5.2, AND MAIDEN FOUNTAIN)
